The effectiveness of continuous spinal anesthesia for bilateral adrenectomy and oophorectomy was observed in two cases of breast cancer.
The following results were obtained. After I hour of 10 §· of tetracaine in the spinal, the patients¢¥ blood pressure, pulse rate and respiratory rate started to drop. By 2 hours after anesthesia, the vital signs had dropped approximately 20¡25%. However, they were restored to almost pre-operative levels with continuous infusion throughout the operation period of Ringer¢¥s lactate solution containing 100 §· of hydrocortisone, even though 5 §· of tetracaine was given to the patients every an hour for a total of 30 §·.
